Terrence Higgins Trust Suffolk are seeking a dynamic, confident and self-motivated individual to deliver a programme of sexual health interventions in partnership with Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust (CCS).  Working with both the general population and also targeted vulnerable groups (including BME communities, men who have sex with men (MSM), sex workers) you will be required to deliver outreach and educational interventions in order to inform people living in and around Ipswich about HIV and STIs, and signposting to local sexual health services (e.g. for STI testing).  Outreach interventions will include working in commercial and non-commercial settings.  You will also need to deliver outreach sessions in bespoke settings such as Public Sex Environments.

The delivery of training to other health and social care professionals and to the public is another aspect of this exciting role.

You will need to be highly efficient, a gifted communicator and specialise in identifying partner agencies with whom you will create successful working partnerships.  You may be able to recruit a small group of local volunteers to assist you in delivery.  Some of the outreach sessions will be during evenings and weekends so the ability to work flexibly is essential.

You will be required to have access to your own vehicle.

This role requires enhanced DBS disclosure.

We’ll reward your energy and enthusiasm with a great range of benefits including generous annual leave, season ticket loan, family friendly policies and support for flexible working agreements.
